Brazil has said they do not have enough money to fund the Paralympics, they will not be cancelled but will be severely "cut back", some countries say they will not be able to fund their teams to travel etc.

What a Face

HOSTING the Paralympics is pretty much a pre-condition of hosting the Olympics these days...

Brazil will just have to suck it up, and meet their obligations;  or risk making themselves an international pariah in sporting circles..

I wonder if they're angling to try for getting some financial assistance from some of those countries with healthier economies at this time ?        Suspect

This is outrageous. If they fail to keep their obligations to the paraOlympians, who in my opinion are currently the real heroes rather than the professional athletes,they should be sanctioned by banning them hosting any international sporting events for 25 years.g
