I like this. It's great lyrically - I like that clever kind of analogy-lyric. I'm liking the Old 97's the more I hear them.
Lyrics really speak to me and certain phrases are just brilliant.

I wrote a song using that sort of style once called "sorrow floats", and I swear, you will never find another song that has the lyric "veggie pie" in it.....

Always liked "It's My Life," such a cool 80s feel to it.

Wow, I've never heard that one before. It kind of reminds me of the earlier stuff REM used to do, jangle pop with a country influence. The chorus makes it something special, though. Not bad, maybe a little too polished for my taste.
