Just weeks after she started preparing opposition research files on Donald Trump’s campaign chairman Paul Manafort last spring, Democratic National Committee consultant Alexandra Chalupa got an alarming message when she logged into her personal Yahoo email account.

“Important action required,” read a pop-up box from a Yahoo security team that is informally known as “the Paranoids.” “We strongly suspect that your account has been the target of state-sponsored actors.”

Chalupa — who had been drafting memos and writing emails about Manafort’s connection to pro-Russian political leaders in Ukraine — quickly alerted top DNC officials. “Since I started digging into Manafort, these messages have been a daily oc­­­­currence on my Yahoo account despite changing my p­­a­ssword often,” she wrote in a May 3 email to Luis Miranda, the DNC’s communications director, which included an attached screengrab of the image of the Yahoo security warning.

“I was freaked out,” Chalupa, who serves as director of “ethnic engagement” for the DNC, told Yahoo News in an interview, noting that she had been in close touch with sources in Kiev, Ukraine, including a number of investigative journalists, who had been providing her with information about Manafort’s political and business dealings in that country and Russia.

While Trump's relationship with Putin is still mostly unclear, a few red flags have come up in recent months. Paul Manafort, Trump's campaign chairman, worked closely with ousted Ukranian Prime Minister (and Putin ally) Viktor Yanukovych. According to journalist Josh Marshall, who closely follows Trump's links to Russia, Trump has cut ties to many US banks and, "has steadied and rebuilt his financial empire with a heavy reliance on capital from Russia".

A computer network used by Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign was hacked as part of a broad cyber attack on Democratic political organizations, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The latest attack, which was disclosed to Reuters on Friday, follows two other hacks on the Democratic National Committee, or DNC, and the party’s fundraising committee for candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives.

A Clinton campaign spokesman said in a statement late on Friday that an analytics data program maintained by the DNC and used by the campaign and a number of other entities "was accessed as part of the DNC hack."

"Our campaign computer system has been under review by outside cyber security experts. To date, they have found no evidence that our internal systems have been compromised," said Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill.

 like 2 magnets pulling toward the center - Putin & Chump-Trump so much in common: Mega Ego's/willingness to screw their own populace/gouging the very worker 'B's that sustain their hierarchy/keeping their cash flow as secret as Fort Knox and believing that 'they are above the law' - HRC is just a stumbling block - minor inconvenience.

They do have much in common. I've updated the OP with more evidence that the two are working to derail HRC.
