He will win. Police should never have told the press about the search of his home.
He is either innocent or very confident that no one will speak up.

I know him to be a thoroughly nasty piece of work, but is he a paedophile?

I never heard anyone say he was nasty....it would be interesting to hear why Miffs thinks so.
He used to spend every birthday at the charity run nursery my son used to attend. I never got to meet him (son was poorly on the day he visited) but people who knew him said what a kind and giving man he was.

I hope he gets justice in the legal battle he has started against the two corrupt organisations.

Friend of mine used to work at a venue where he did some shows. She said 'behind the scenes' he was rude, arrogant and intolerant. She described him as a diva, he clicked his fingers at her when he wanted something. Never said please or thank you and clearly thought his shit didn't stink.

It just shows how different people perceive 'celebrities'....or how differently those celebrities act depending on where they are.
I cringe when I hear people say what a nice man Tommy Cooper was when he was not performing.....he was a verbally abusive drunk to people I know who worked in the same clubs he appeared in.

Really?! My Dad met him in a pub in Jersey and said he was really nice. Goes to show doesn't it?
The same friend told me David Essex was smashing. A real gentleman and very down to earth.

I met that actor that always played vile  baddies, Gerard Murphy,  he was in Waterworld, and was in the BBC production of Vanity Fair I was an extra in, he was absolutely lovely, a real gentleman.  Sadly, he's dead now.

I have no "he's a horror" stories about celebs, but I have to say, every time I've gone to St Pancreas station to get the eurotunnel to France, I've seen David Walliams! Shocked

I've seen him three times, three different occasions.

Last time I saw him I said "Oy are you following me?"

He looked straight through me and a little scared.

I think some celebrities are a lot nicer to their fans than they are to people who serve them behind the scenes.

OH saw David Essex being really ignorant to an elderly night porter at one of Manchesters top hotels.....he could never stand him after that.

I confirm that I have instructed my lawyers to make formal legal complaints to South Yorkshire Police and the BBC so that in the absence of satisfactory answers a Court will determine whether or not their behaviour was justified and proportionate. It is important not only for me personally but much more widely. My life was effectively turned upside down and my reputation, worldwide, was unnecessarily damaged. I would not want the same to happen to others whether in the public eye or not.

Whilst the police of course need to properly investigate allegations made to them, it is clear to me that questions need to be answered by both the police and the BBC about their initial handling of my matter, which has rightly been condemned from so many quarters, including the Home Affairs Select Committee, the broader Press, and, even the Police themselves. I chose not to comment during the active investigation for obvious reasons, but having suffered the experience that I have, I firmly believe that privacy should be respected and that police guidelines are there to be followed. That means that save in exceptional circumstances people should never be named unless and until they are charged. As everybody has accepted there were no such "exceptional circumstances" in my case.

If Cliff wins his case then heads should roll.

For what its worth; once there's an warrant issued {here in America} and an arrest - that becomes a public record any one can obtain the information since it is a 'public record' - the only cases kept out of public domain is if it's a juvenile offense.

So while I wish this dude good luck, I don't know that he's got any standing since the police were interviewed and some one within that department provided the reason for the search.  Suspect

But to the discussion about our entertainers and their questionable behind the scenes persona; my #1 burning ember gaseous blow hard has always been Jerry Lewis, of the 'Labor Day Telethon' mega million dollar fund raiser for MDA {he's 90 yrs old now}
Stiff Pilchard Jerry-lewis-telethon-2-f
His touring MDA campaign to raise funds always started months prior to Labor Day weekend and he'd tour the USA stirring up a hyped up excitement for his foundation and fundraising and local TV spots to be broadcast during the telethon.  Twice during his nationwide tour he came through Omaha, Nebraska and stayed at the penthouse suite - the outside 2 wings were allocated to us college students and quite a few of us worked off our room bills by working in the hotel. Cleaning/front desk clerking/waitressing/bar tending type jobs ...this maniac was given such special 'hands off privileges' and we were forbidden to speak to him - ask him any questions - basically we were told to 'just not even make eye contact and for gods sake never bump into him in any way!'
One of the young college girls was cleaning rooms at 3am and was pulling her cleaning cart out of the room walking back wards just as Jerry Lewis was existing the elevator and her back was towards him: she didn't hear his staff call out but backed up - stepped right on his foot ...he shoved her very forcibly from behind and pitched such a fit - yelling/screaming/cursing ...she could smell the alcohol on his breath and she was trying to apologize.

His staff hustled her out of the way and escorted him bodily down to his room; 2 of his aides showed up down at the front desk demanding that the young cleaning girl be terminated that morning - immediately! Evil or Very Mad
The hotel never did fire her, just gave her 2 nights off {with pay} until that drunkard left town ...but I've never forgotten that scene and the uproar he caused.

I was seated at the phone console behind the front desk - studying and manning the switch board, and yes, I eavesdropped into his phones calls to his management staff for the Hotel owners that next morning!  I never did donate any of my hard earned money to his MDS funding campaign ...it wasn't all going to research and benefit for those kids as he was telling us it was! Suspect

He had a bad reputation here I remember.
Dean Martin was always considered the gentleman out of the pair of them when they were a sort of double act.

Yes, indeed ...Dean Martin earned great money playing the drunk on TV and movie sets but it wasn't until the death oh his son 'Dino' that he went into seclusion and allowed alcohol to takeover his life!

Much of the "booze" that he drank on stage during his famous "Rat Pack" performances was really apple juice. (Son Dean Paul Martin spilled this secret, after the variety show ended production, stating that his father couldn't have performed if he'd really drunk that much liquor)
