It was the Anniversary of my sisters death 2 days ago
She is 2 years my junior
She was born with a very rare condition, one that sadly also my niece also suffered with.
Both died just after reaching their first birthday.
Each time, the doctors stated, that they would never smile or laugh and in each case the doctors were proved wrong and were happy to admit, that love can bring such a positive response to knowing there is a death sentence upon a child. never knowing, what day it will come, but that it will come, no matter what you do. I saw this more through my Neice and will never wish anyone seeing the last breaths come out of a child, when that childs life support is switched off. How you truly feel empty inside..
My mother to this day, even though I was only 3, attempted to cheer her up, by saying "I am still here, mummy, nobody is going to take me away" where instead it just made her cry, as she knew I actually understood that young, what had happened.
They are both buried next to each other, in death, they are able to keep each other company.
May they both Rest in Peace.

Thank you and to ben and eddie also.
Its never easy to see life torn from someone so young, not once but twice.
It maybe why I come down so hard on women here sometimes, that they are lucky enough to have lived when those closest to me, never had that chance. My only wish is that they live that life to the full.
One that has love.
Catch you all later

Did I read that correctly; you were 3 years old when your little sister passed away?
WOW, your mother's wound must have been a hard memory to have lost her own child and then a grand child the same horrible way We often don't give our young children enough credit for their feeling and pain ...saying things like - 'their to young to understand' - 'they won't remember any of this when they get older' ...and yet we do and the loss remains with us - we just don't always know how to put the pain to words!
Sorry, that your family have suffered such tragic loss of little one's ...it makes the empty place they had such a huge void never to be filled. TY for sharing ...that isn't an easy thing to do!

It's not a easy thing to do, to open up such a deep wound like that; pretty brave really ...leaves us kind-of exposed for all kinds of attacks. But as much as you & I have butted heads, that doesn't diminish the sorrow that we all have hidden away from something in our private life!
