Wow. In Texas, summer begins around the time you're celebrating Memorial Day (last Monday in May) and doesn't wind down until the kids have their Halloween costumes ...

You feel fresh and clean for however long it takes between taking a shower and walking out your front door ...

By the time July 4 rolls around, your most-hated phrase is "upper level high-pressure ridge" ...

Down here rain sometimes gets called 'English sunshine'.
'Getting Sum Pommie Sun on the crops'

and cold wet days in Winter are called 'English summer'
