Christina Grimmie Dead: ‘The Voice US’ Star Shot Dead In Orlando, Aged 22

Christina Grimmie, a former contestant on ‘The Voice US’, has been shot dead in Orlando.
The 22-year-old singer was signing autographs for fans when someone opened fire, according to reports.

Christina’s brother tackled the man, who then shot himself, while Christina was initially rushed to hospital.
A statement from Christina’s publicist, issued to E! News, reads: “It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord. “She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the gun shot wounds.
“We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning.
“If you’d like to give back to Christina’s family in her memory, please consider donating to the family’s GoFundMe page in their time of need.”
TV and music fans will recognised Christina from the 2014 series of the talent show, in which she came third.
During the show’s blind auditions, Christina’s tremendous vocals led to all four coaches turning their chairs around, and the hopeful ended up being on Adam Levine’s team.

What a tragedy. I want to follow this story. Happened in Florida.

What a horrible tragedy. She was so young.
Was it a random act or a deliberate shot at her?

My 2 girls are mortified. They saw Christina in concert and met her afterwards last year at the O2 Academy Islington.
Talented and beautiful young lady.

So sad HA, and how do you even begin to explain a senseless and violent death like that to two children?

Such a sad loss and how on earth must her brother feel after bravely tackling the man?
His actions clearly saved others from getting hurt, but to know it was not enought to save his sister, must be shattering for him.


The gunman was not identified, and police have not said why he attacked the singer. An investigation is continuing, but police credited the singer’s brother with preventing the gunman from hurting others.

Makes you wonder what on earth life is even about? So young, talented and with all her life ahead of her, then some loose cannon just blows her away.

She was signing autographs right? For lots of fans?

There must be dozens of video footage and photos of that moment? Have they been seen yet?

Stalking is not given the attention it should be , not in Uk anyway

I said to my girls this was a similar  slaying to Lennon.
They replied "possibly, but he was relatively  unknown and not as talented".
They will learn.

My, my...Orlando is a busy place these days. First Christina's death. Then the Pulse shootings. Then the little boy who was grabbed by an alligator and drowned.

God must be punishing southerners, and he's really mad.

But what is the question?

No question per se, just.....read the *facts above and tell me does that sound plausible to you?

It's Florida, mecca of guns and shooting to settle differences.  If they had frisked him and they had caught him with a gun, he probably would have received a slap on the back.

The timing seems awkward, but who knows what goes on in a killer's mind and when the guilt hits him?  

The ticket to the subsequent event seems strange.  Maybe he had a plan to escape there, and had to change it.

In a nutshell, I think Obama has been instructed to get his law passed - to get rid of guns. I don't think Obama is responsible for the killings.
But someone is.

What law? Obama has no law regarding guns.
