Re: Warriors win first game of championship series.
Warriors win their third game; now go up 3 - 1.
LeBron is worried...starts two fights. First he attacks Draymond Green, then in the waning moments, he attacks Steph Curry.
I think LeBron is gaining the reputation of loser (this will be his second lost championship) and he is showing his lack of class. So are the Cleveland fans--one tried to attack Steph in the 4th quarter.

Draymond Green Suspended ...Game 5 Whats that look like now?
I've not been watching these play offs but just catching the highlights the next day ...but I missed all of this!
So, Quill ...what do you think game #5 is going to look like now?

With Draymond Green suspended,
who wins Cavs-Warriors Game 5?
By KEVIN PELTON via ESPN Jun 12, 2016, 4:07 PM ET
Now that the NBA has suspended Draymond Green after his actions against LeBron James in Game 4, the outcome of the NBA Finals is no longer a foregone conclusion.
How will Game 5 go now that Green is suspended? And how will the series play out?
The removal of Golden State's soul and defensive anchor -- its second-most-valuable player this season -- adds a huge element of uncertainty about the Warriors' game plan and ability to close out the Cleveland Cavaliers for their second straight NBA title.

Game #5 Caveliers 112 - 97
Well, now they'll be on Cavaliers 'home turf' ...and the BOOING won't be heard in that stadium ...not towards the LeBron anyway!OAKLAND -- The Cleveland Cavaliers' stars came to play. Draymond Green wasn't allowed in the building for the potential championship-clinching game.
That was the difference in the Cavaliers' 112-97 win in Game 5 of the NBA Finals on Monday at Oracle Arena. The Warriors lead 3-2 as the series heads back to Cleveland, but missed on their first opportunity to win it all.
"You want to win here more than anything for your fans," Warriors guard Klay Thompson said. "They deserve to see us win.
"And obviously it stings real bad, but we'll come back stronger."
LeBron James and Kyrie Irving refused to let them have it, scoring 41 points apiece with their backs against the wall. It was James who was booed vociferously by Warriors fans every time he touched the ball, as he had drawn the flagrant foul from Green in Game 4 that triggered the suspension.

Re: Warriors win first game of championship series.
The NBA is doing everything to throw this series toward Cleveland. They suspended Draymond Green for a fight that LeBron James actually started in game 4. In fact, James was out of control in the waning moments of Game 4, and went off to maul Steph Curry a minute later. The guy is a class A meathead and I wouldn't have him on a team. I'd much rather have Green.
Sad but true, the league doesn't like the west. The Western Conference is clearly superior, but the NBA is based on Fifth Avenue, NYC, and they are eastern partisans. The officials are trying to throw this game. It's clear the officials have 'orders'; you can see some grim looks on their faces as they make many of their bogus calls.

Well, what you've said just reinforced why I gave up pro-basket ball and became a college fanatic.
To much money - to many bureaucrats - to much mega ego's with players; I frankly do not know how the coaches get those 'mega millionaires' to listen/play/work as a TEAM.

I agree. The college game, in almost every sport, is much more honest than the professional game.
Look at the NFL...Brady gets a four game suspension off air in a football (which the officials would surely have known about--no one has hands on the ball more during a game than the line judge), and when one of the players kicks the shit out of a wife or gf, it's a $5.50 fine. Go figure.

Re: Warriors win first game of championship series.
INDEED ...we once upon a time had season tickets to the KC Chiefs football games; 2nd terr 50 yd line ...$950. w/parking pass - take in our own liquor - tailgate party before & after as the crowds/traffic dispersed. All different now and not as affordable as those really god awful times when we were the only ones seated in our entire section! Our last year was the year Joe Montana was brought in - blew the entire teams payroll on the hopes of his 'STAR' quality.
Oh, well ...I can say I sat through some of the worst weather that KC had to throw at us and watched some of the worst live football EVER! LMAO
Can't afford to take a family of 4 to a live football game or even to the KC Royals --- it's just priced out of the middle class price range now.

Game #5 = Cavaliers onto Game#6
I'd prefer that everyone on the team that had completed baskets received a name in these articles ...how offensive to just keep providing the #1 & #2 most points per game for notation!CLEVELAND, Ohio - It was going to take a special performance for the Cleveland Cavaliers to keep their title hopes alive, even with the Golden State Warriors playing without Draymond Green, one of their most important players.
At least that was the case according to the city's Wikipedia page. It's because of Kyrie Irving and LeBron James.
OUT OF MY WAY!LeBron James No.23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Marreese Speights No.5 of the Golden State Warriors fight for position during the second half in Game 5 of the 2016 NBA Finals at ORACLE Arena on Tuesday in Oakland, California.
The Cavaliers were led by an outstanding shooting performance by Kyrie Irving, who had 41 points on just 24 shots, while Lebron James had the kind of Finals game only he's delivered in recent years. Powerless to stop him, Golden State resorted to hacking Tristan Thompson intentionally at the end of the third quarter to try to throw the Cavaliers off.
"Tonight it was obviously different rotations and we tried to adjust on the fly with the different matchups, but we just didn't execute as well". If Bogut can not play, the Warriors will have a different starting lineup for the second consecutive game, perhaps the the starting lineup that won the title last season. They were up 3-1 on the Cavs, and seeing as no team has ever come back from being down 3-1 in the Finals, things didn't look good for Cleveland. Andrew Bogut missed much of Monday's game with a sprained knee, and his status for Game 6 is unknown.
And Kyrie Irving also completely had his way with the Warriors. If they can find a way to take Game 6, suddenly we're looking at it all coming town to a Game 7 in Oakland.
"We're just happy we got another day".

But this is just driving up ticket sales and scalpers are making loads of $$$.

Re: Warriors win first game of championship series.
Irving was good, but the Refs are winning the game for Cleveland. The League had to change the field call on Green two days later to get him out of game 5. Whatever happened to a straight-up game between two teams. And they didn't even call an intentional foul on the injury to Bogut.
How bout we call a foul against LeBron from a game played five years ago, and kick him out for the season? The League has become the sixth-man...send in the next ref.

Tonight is game 5 and the League still has not suspended J.R. Smith. Unlike the phony, trumped up stage play they put on to put Green on the bench, J.R. Smith was maliciously going for the knees of Bogut. Nothing can put a man out of the game more that ruining his knees.
The NBA and Adam Silver are frauds. I recommend all people boycott the entire NBA next year. Simply put, they cheat.

Between the 'FAKE/Oscar Acting skills' drop to the floor and pretend to have drawn a personal foul ploys - to these 'full blown body slamming contact' out there on the pro court; it's beginning to resemble the skills of a pro-NHL match without all of the padding!
Good Grief - those ref's will need a special team of 'eye's on the slow-motion' replay video just to update those on the court as to all of those body shots being taken while the game is in full play. There's far too much going on - so fast for those ref's too see it all and they're at quite a height difference too!

Re: Warriors win first game of championship series.
And Stephen Curry's wife was blowing up her tweeter account while seated court side --- stating exactly the same opinion that you've just posted, Quill. The Latest: Frustrated Curry ejected with Cavs in control
CLEVELAND (AP) - The Latest on Game 6 of the NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers (all times local):
11:20 p.m.
Stephen Curry's night has come to an end.
Curry picked up his sixth foul with 4:22 to go in Game 6 and the Golden State Warriors down 12 points. And he wasn't happy about it.
Curry was whistled for the foul and then picked up an immediate technical foul for throwing his mouth piece. He was ejected for the technical foul and threw his mouth piece, hitting a fan courtside.
Curry apologized to the fan he hit before leaving the court and shared some words with chuckling Cavs coach Tyronn Lue as well.
Curry finished with 30 points and fouled out for the first time since 2013.

I wonder just how she thinks that her mouth {tweeter speak} makes her husband look - he's the one pitch'n the fit - thrown his nasty mouth piece into the stands! Dammmmm and now he won't be able to play the last game ...won't his team need him just a badly?

Re: Warriors win first game of championship series.
Yahoo Sports wrote:Ayesha Curry rips refs, NBA again after Steph's Game 6 ejection
Eric Freeman
Ayesha Curry, wife of back-to-back MVP Stephen Curry, made headlines after the Golden State Warriors' NBA Finals Game 5 when she asked if referees could be fined. The message was clear — the Warriors would have clinched the NBA title in Monday's game if not for calls that went the way of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Never mind that LeBron James and Kyrie Irving became the first teammates to score 41 points apiece in a finals game, or that the Warriors looked limited without Draymond Green (who, to be fair, was suspended due to a league review).
Given that precedent, it perhaps should not come as a surprise that Ayesha was not happy with the way her husband left the Warriors' Game 6 loss in Cleveland. Shortly after Stephen Curry fouled out and was subsequently ejected for arguing the call and throwing his mouthpiece (and hitting a fan), she sent out this since-deleted tweet:
I told you it was rigged. The refs have been instructed by the league to 'fix' the game. The NBA is just the mob, reincarnate. If I want to watch a bunch of sweaty athletes run up and down a field with nothing to do, I'll watch soccer. Basketball is the one sport where teamwork and skill are involved...or should be, I hasten to add.
But when the fix is in...the fix is all that matters. I don't watch the NBA to see who the league favors. League commissioner Adam Silver is the ugliest scarecrow I've ever seen; he looks like a villain out of the Chronicles of Narnia series. It hurts my eyes to watch him. And since he's the one who 'calls' the outcome, there's no reason to watch the NBA games.
I'll stick to the college sport. GO ARIZONA!

Oh, come on Quill ...she got blasted on her FB page for being such a 'WHINER' and poor sport
Her husband isn't the only one out there playing fast and hard - neither is LaBon James --- they are part of the entire team.
Yes, there was a lot of contact last night ...but it was a DAMMMM FINE GAME, and I don't think her pouty/loud mouthed tweeting adds to his sour grapes behavior in anyway ...game #7 is on their home court - home court advantage

The only poor sport is Adam Silver, who orders these games 'fixed'. And BTW, Lebron James is big, dumb meathead, whom the league has decided to make a star. He crashes in players, tables and the crowd, with a total absence of athleticism...then the refs assess the penalty on the other side.
The poor, darling, ignorant slob crashed into Lemond Green and Green gets suspended for a game. But when J.R. Smith deliberately goes for the knees of Andrew Bogut, nada...zilch...not a word. Tell me this isn't a totally scripted screenplay.

Aaaaand, I can well remember when Shaquille O'neal was treated to that same contempt and ill regard ...some written sports reporters and broadcast announcers were vilifying him like he was mentally impaired.
Well, I'd hopes that now I'm 'HOOKED' into watching this last game #7 on Sunday night {flipping between American Ninja Warrior} and this game...that you'd be up for some game play stats and ribbing - good humor bets for number of points per quarter

Nah...no sense watching a pre-scripted event. I never got into WWE because there is no competition when the whole thing is rigged. Same with the NBA.
Basketball could be competitive, but the NBA program is to slant games according to ratings, using officiating...and prohibiting the good players like Green from participating...so as to make certain teams successful Did you ever see anything so blatant as Green not being allowed to play? And then to have the J.R. Smith trying to take out someone's knees in the very next game...and not a peep out of the NBA. It's plain proof that there's no equal treatment under the rules...everything is pre-determined by ratings. What a surprise...there's profit in points.
I can't wait for the college season to begin next year, tho. I do enjoy basketball.

Yes, but the league had to lift 3 of the Warriors players to make it happen: Green, Curry and Bogut.
I could make any team, in any sport, lose the finals if I had the power to lift it's three best players.
The whole thing was rigged. Cleveland had never had a champion, and the league gave them a sympathy fuck.
