Extraordinary Stitch-Up at Nevada Democratic Convention
I had heard much about the way that Hillary was able to use control of the Democratic Party machine to suppress the challenge of Bernie Sanders. I had not fully understood it until I saw this truly shocking video of the Nevada Democratic Convention, a stage in the awarding of that state’s delegates to Hillary or Bernie. After the announcement of a narrow win for Hillary, which to many seemed improbable, the chairwoman of the Convention, Roberta Lange, a member of the National Democratic Committee, absolutely refused demands for a recount. She then closed the Convention after calling for a voice vote, again uncounted, on a rules change to allow her to do that.
Twice as many Sanders delegates to the Convention were disqualified by the Committee, for “administrative reasons”, as the supposed majority for Clinton, which even after those disqualifications did not appear to reflect the apparent balance of delegates present.
I think watching the video will tell you more than anything I can say. When adverts appear keep watching past them as it seems to be in several parts.

Something VERY fishy going on!

I sort of hope trump wins the democrats are just as evil. they should not have the name democrats they should be called the Authoritarian wall street party.
Trump will fuck up the USA, Hillary is the front man for the evil that wishes to fuck up the world with their unbridled greed.

Re: Extraordinary Stitch-Up at Nevada Democratic Convention
Come on, y'all. Hillary might not solve everything with a wave of Bernie's magic (plus 500 vs. Republicans) wand but she'd be a hell of a lot harder on Wall Street than Trump would be. Let's all go ahead and live in the real world.
Re: Extraordinary Stitch-Up at Nevada Democratic Convention
Polls: Sanders has more potential to beat Trump
Recent polls have demonstrated that Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders holds a much higher potential to defeat Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee, in an election than Hillary Clinton, although the latter is the Democratic party's front-runner.
The Reuters news agency, RealClearPolitics, a US non-partisan polling data aggregator, are among the organisations that have released ratings indicating that Sanders would have the upperhand in the battle for the White House.
Clinton has so far won 1,716 delegates and Sanders has gained 1,433. Factoring in super-delegates, Clinton has 2,240 and Sanders has 1,473. But super-delegates can still switch allegiance until the July 25 Democratic convention is held.
However, RealClearPolitics showed on Tuesday that Sanders had a 13 percent advantage over Trump, while Clinton had five more points than Trump.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday signalled a tight coin-toss race between Clinton and Trump, without reporting on Sanders.
In March, a Reuters poll said that Sanders would beat Trump by at least 14 percent, while reporting on the potential of a very close race between Trump and Clinton.
Dustin Woodard, an analytics expert who took a major part in the discovery of the Reuters poll trend, told Al Jazeera that a significant reason for Sanders' advantage was due to disproportional support from independent voters - a group that he says other polls failed to factor in.
"Independents are the largest voting population in the US. Gallup reports that independents are 42 percent of the voting population, while Democrats are only 29 percent and Republicans are only 26 percent".
New data for Bernie Sanders & Clinton vs Trump just released. Trump beats Clinton, Bernie beats Trump.#FeelTheBern
Sanders and Trump have been the favourites of independent voters, he noted, adding how their voice changes the outcome of polls.
"When I look at other head-to-head polling sources, the 10 most recent polls show Clinton only beats Trump in eight of them and her margin of win averages 4.6 percent, but most, if not all, of the polls do not have their independent numbers correct."
"This would suggest Clinton vs Trump is a really tight battle, possibly in Trumps favour. However, on Bernie Sanders side, he beats Trump in every single poll and by an average margin of 14.1%. Again, if independents were adjusted, his margin might be even larger."
Gary Nordlinger, a political researcher at George Washington University, told Al Jazeera how a recent poll by his university showed that Trump leads Clinton among independents by five percent.
The poll, released earlier this month, also noted that Clinton had a high "unfavorable" rating standing at 46 percent. Nordingler explained that this is largely because many perceive her to be part of the "political elite".
On the other hand, he said that "Sanders entered the race without much national recognition, hence he had low unfavorable ratings".
"Sanders has also not yet been subjected to negative TV ads that would drive up his unfavorable rating".
Nordingler added that Sanders has performed best in "open" state primaries, which independent voters are allowed to take part in.

Re: Extraordinary Stitch-Up at Nevada Democratic Convention
I get that, and I appreciate it. I just go back to the Republicans, actually. They all promised they were going to repeal Obamacare, impeach Obama, hang him on the White Mosque lawn and take back 'Murica! But they couldn't, because America was invented in the 1700s, when things took years to do and nobody minded.
But because Republican voters are stupid, they thought that if they voted for the Republicans who were promising to do these things, these things would happen. And when they didn't happen, the stupid Republicans got angry and decided that Donald Trump should be in charge.
(!)
I don't want to see that happen to all of America. We seem to have it under quarantine for the time being.

Re: Extraordinary Stitch-Up at Nevada Democratic Convention
Veya, I admit that there are some dirty dealings, even in the Democratic side of things. There are some vestiges of the old way, and they are showing through.
America is the oldest democracy in the world. In 1792, when it was formed, they were still thinking of kings and emperors. (Did you know that before the Constitution established the presidency as the chief executive, certain of the founders approached Bonnie Prince Charlie (Stuart) to come over to the newly formed US to be the chief executive. He declined because he felt he was too old.)
So, a lot of positions were selected , rather than elected. Senators were selected by the states; presidential electors (we now call them delegates) were also selected by the states. Democracy was considered a radical idea, unacceptable to many.
Now, 240-years later, we have moved to the left (all progress moves to the left). We presume that democracy is not only the constitutional way, but the moral way. That was not the way our forefathers envisioned it working.
Slowly, we are working our way leftward, pushing those vestiges of aristocracy and monarchy behind us. But in our primary system, we still have caucuses and conventions and super-delegates, which work in ways other than democracy. The Democratic Party has progressed much faster than the Republican Party (which, after all, is the RW), but we still have a ways to go.
It is what it is. Given that, the candidates must work within the system. A wise man once said, pick your battles. Now is not the time to do battle with the system; now is the time to get elected. That said, Hillary is just doing what is necessary to get into the spot to be the candidate.
If you want a villain, look to Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, who is behind the scenes, pulling all the levers for Hillary. Debbie is supposed to be a neutral, but she is working overtime to defeat Bernie. It's my opinion, with the system rigged historically, we don't need players to be biased. But, again, in an imperfect system, Hillary is doing not what's best...but what's necessary.

what is necessary for the greedy to thrive, the destruction to continue and the poor to stay under the Heel of Wall Street's Boot.
It is Actually People like her that the world needs a revolution from. if the left can't break the system due to corruption then maybe the Right will have to, since the corruption of the right has already seen it fall into Chaos that prevented them getting their preferred candidates up

Actually, the choice doesn't involve Bernie.
So it's down to Hillary or Trump. Which is for you?

Re: Extraordinary Stitch-Up at Nevada Democratic Convention
3rd party?
otherwise buy guns and vote trump and watch it all burn
Or Leave.
I would never vote for the democrats out of princpal now, after their obvious railroading of wall streets candidate. I think the Dems, by putting forward Hilliary, have done irrepairable damage to their brand, to Gen Y down they are Nothing But Corrupt Lying cheating Scum now. At least trump is open about being Scum.
they are so worried about winning at any cost even with a candidate that People Dont want they miss the fact they have made it obvious to anyone that is not a rusted on Dem that they the Biggest part of the problem now. EVEN the Repubs have ended up accepting the peoples Will they are going to get far more respect for that then the democrats will have in the future.
the mere fact Hilliary is up is more reason for revolution than Trump,
Trump's view as repulsive as they are represents more Americans than Hilliary that only represents Wall street.
Forget the people behind the scences, Hilliary is the undisputed Poster child for Corruption and subverting democracy now.
