A boy of 13 with learning difficulties had his new bike stolen from him the first time he rides out on it.

I could have cried when I saw this on the news ...he is so small.
My blood boils when I see vulnerable people treated badly by arseholes....bullying thieving bastards.

Good I will stay logged in for a while.

I always think a problem shared is a problem halved.... even sharing something we have read or heard about on a forum can help....getting different POV's etc.

At least on the forums that don't attract trolls ....best to say nowt on those sort. Rolling Eyes

The video of this little boy in the OP has been viewed (as of 8am this morning) 400,000 times. By the same time more than £1000 had been raised to replace his £1000 bike, which his mam and dad saved up for for his bar mitzvah present.

He was interviewed with his mum this morning on local radio, and though he clearly has special needs he was happy and seemed none the worse for the ordeal he had been through, though he did say when he gets a new bike he will be afraid to go out on it....hopefully that soon will pass.

It restores your faith in people when we see something so cruel being overshadowed by so much kindness.
The mum of the little lad gave an interview saying that the thieves were known in the area and the police had not acted.
Since all the publicity the police are now appealing for witnesses and are saying they intend to catch the thieves.

Funny how they get their fingers out when something catches the public attention.
