I read it, it's a horrifying thought isn't it?

However, I also read along time ago about a couple who met and felt instant attraction, they said it was overwhelming, lived together and had two babies before they found out that they had both been adopted and were in fact, brother and sister.

I think the woman in the article, whatever she felt, knowing that she was his mother, should have stopped it in it's tracks. The fact that she didn't horrifies me, but genetic sexual attraction has been shown to exist. If she hadn't known he was her son that's one thing, knowing, however much attraction there was, and for whatever reason, should have over-ridden everything else.

If they have a baby it might have a genetic illness, and then they'll be crying all over the place. Any baby they adopt or have via surrogacy should be taken away from them.

I do believe that GSA can exists in parent/child relationships when they meet after many years after adoption.

In point of fact personally I have no problem if someone wants to indulge in an incestuous relationship.....what folks do in the confines of their lives is up to them (largely)

Given the dangers of genetic mishaps from such relationships (btw NOT guaranteed)

one or both should have to be sterilised....

on te subject of genetic risk from inbreeding...it doesnt follow that its automatic, indeed parent/child or sibling inbreeding CAN be used to "breed out" a bad charcteristic. The theory is complex and requires hard decisions during its use...

but in practice it has been shown to work remarkably well.....
