Have you been there, walked along it, I luvd it and recognised so many stars but did not go around it all cus as we got farther away from Graumans there were not very nice surroundings and people who looked dodgy.
Many, many times. I lived just around the corner. Worked at Capitol Records, just up the street.

Re: Hollywood Boulevard
I bet you just take it for granted if you live near it - like people in London don't bother to visit Buckingham Palace.

My wife had her photo taken with Elvis - a cut out, very good though.
Street people are all over Southern California. The weather in the LA basin is spectacular...all coastal desert. If you're gonna live under the stars it helps if there's no rain or snow.
Also, the life of a show business personality is all or nothing, so there's a thin wall between immense success and abject poverty. And of course, they are all living in the city of the stars, hoping to get discovered, write or sing the next song, or star in the next box-office hit. As the song says:
L.A. is a great big freeway
Put a hundred down and buy a car
In a week, maybe two, they'll make you a star
Weeks turn into years
How quick they pass
And all the stars that never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas
I will say that public transit has greatly improved in the last 15-years with the LA Metro rail.

Re: Hollywood Boulevard
Its nice seeing all the stars and the theaters but most of the shops are glorified tourist traps now.
