Spaniel dumped by roadside with dead puppies in a bag found with 'tears in her eyes'

A spaniel found dumped by the roadside her dead puppies in a chip shop bag had tears in her eyes, the cyclist who found her said.
The mother refused to leave her puppies when she was found by Paul Skinner, a Boston Borough Councillor who was cycling at Hobhole Bank, near Midville, Lincolnshire, on Sunday. Councillor Skinner told the Lincolnshire Echo: "We spotted on the verge something that looked like a dead bird, but as we passed it moved.

"It was a small spaniel without a collar. We looked around in case anyone was in trouble.

"The dog was on its own, sitting licking the contents of a fish and chips carrier bag. The bag contained four dead pups.

"It was heartbreaking. She had tears in her eyes."

and spaniels are such loving loyal dogs too...all they ever want to do is please their human.....

They could have been taken to the RSPCA, the PDSA or the Dogs Protection League and at the worst left on the doorstep.

Dreadful arable thing to do.

Spanulz as country folk call them are my fav but they all get ear trouble.

Im not sure dogs can actually physically cry tears?
Still it's a sad story. And to think someone is that heartless to do that......

you do realise that its not that may years since this sort of thing was made illegal...around 2000 I beleive...give or take

I thought you might have got an actual bit of evidence of it...someone getting caught or such...
