Missing junior doctor Rose Polge left note referring to Jeremy Hunt
Rose Polge left note that addressed 'several issues' and made reference to Health Secretary after leaving work 'stressed' halfway through her shift
Junior doctor Rose Polge left a note which included a reference to Jeremy Hunt before she went missing halfway through a shift.
Dr Polge, 25, who was a vocal supporter of the junior doctors' strike, disappeared on Friday before her car was found parked at Anstey's Cove near Torquay, Devon. A hooded top said to belong to her has been washed ashore nearby.
Sources said the note to her family, left in her car, dealt with "deeply personal issues" and made a brief reference to the Health Secretary, who plans to impose a controversial new contract on junior doctors.
The search for Rose Polge is centred on Anstey's Cove
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said today: "We are not confirming or speculating on the content of any note."
But sources have told The Telegraph that Dr Polge left a letter addressed to her family, in which she dealt with several matters and made a one-line reference to Mr Hunt. "It is not a political letter," said one source. "It is not a communication to him or about him but it does make reference to him."
Last month Dr Polge posted a new Facebook profile picture, featuring the hashtag #NotFairNotSafe.
She also shared a link to a petition asking the British Medical Association to support the junior doctors' strike which opposed changes to working hours and conditions proposed by Mr Hunt.

Dr Polge is from a family of doctors: her father Mark is a GP, her sister Hazel is a doctor and her brother Samuel is a doctor specialising in eye conditions. Her grandfather Christopher Polge was an eminent biologist whose work formed the foundation of cryobiology.
In a statement released today via the police, her family said: "We would like to thank everyone for their help, hope and kind words. The support we have received from family and friends has been much appreciated and clearly Rose is loved far and wide.
"We are overwhelmed by the support from her friends and colleagues, dozens of whom have been combing the Devon coast in search of Rose."
Police described her disappearance as "totally out of character".
Dr Polge, from Royston, Herts., last spoke to her boyfriend at 1pm on Friday before her car was found in the car park at Anstey's Cove at 6pm.
One of her friends told The Sun she had disappeared halfway through a shift at the hospital, and had been under strain from the long hours she had been working.
The friend said: "She usually had a smile on her face but the last couple of weeks were taking their toll.
"Rose was always cheerful and worked incredibly hard to get where she was."

Police divers have joined a helicopter, drone, RNLI lifeboat and search team of 100 volunteers, including Dr Polge's parents Mark and Heather.
Martin Ringrose, Director of Human Resources at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We are aware that one of our junior doctors is missing. Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones at this very distressing time.
"We will do whatever we can to support the authorities investigating her disappearance and searching for her, as well as providing support to her colleagues, who are anxious for her wellbeing.”
Devon and Cornwall Police said in a statement: "We are extremely concerned for the welfare of Rose and are desperate to locate her."

They will propably try to make out that she had mental health problems, and pretend Hunt had nothing to do with it.

Re: Missing junior doctor Rose Polge left note referring to Jeremy Hunt
Why on earth are they releasing information about what the note says at this stage? They haven't even found her - dead or alive. I hope they're not going to use this deeply personal situation to have a pop at Hunt.
