Australia Day - Eat Lamb - Or else
have to lol at the anti vegan joke
SAM Kekovich, the face of the Australia Day lamb ad, has challenged vegans to try lamb and “get a life” as formal complaints against the campaign rocket to a near record level.
As at 9am today, more than 500 complaints had been lodged with the Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) by individuals and organisations mainly offended with the attack on vegans in the ad.
That’s not far off the record, held by extra-marital dating agency Ashley Madison, which had more than 600 complaints last year.
If the outcome of that case is anything to go by - the ad was axed - then this is no longer a laughing matter for the Meat and Livestock Australia campaign.
Appearing on Sunrise this morning, Kekovich said the success of the ad spoke for itself.
“You would know since the ad’s inception, 11 years ago, what has been the one concern that has been prevalent in all that time? It’s that devious treacherous group, the Vee Garden Square, they have always impinged themselves on our coat tails, trying to glean some traction off our success,” the Lambassador said.

I don't eat meat but I don't see why anyone would complain about an ad for it??
Some people have nothing better to do.

I gather that they're complaining about the slur directed at vegans, which is fair enough.

A vegan is not the same as a veggie.

no they are worse...
I have come to the entirely unscientific conclusion that being a veggie/vegan causes brain damage

I don't think it is! Chicken is rank! I hate it.
Beef is okish, pork is horrid and I don't like lamb as its too slimey.

Stormee wrote:"lambassador" , I smiled.
I love lamb, 'Welsh Hillside Lamb' is my fav.
Just before Christmas lamb legs from New Zealand sold here for about half price in supermarkets, butchers shops never reduced them.
We stocked up and froze six legs after I cut them into two as there is only two of us, we have not had a joint yet, will on Sunday.
If you need and Excuse...
the 26th of January
Do it cause the Lambassador told you too.
