Have shot hundreds of 'em, only tried one,  not for me.
I sold them to local Butcher.

I used to shoot on the Wash,  Greylag and Pinkfoot geese, they were not too bad.

lying in a muddy creek in the Snow or Sleet, not for the faint hearted at -5

Hearing them coming over the Marsh sounding like a thousand dogs yelping gives me goose lumps again just thinking about it.

The locals called them "the hounds of Heaven"
What i'd give to do it again!

Goose is extremely fatty. However it's cooked, allow for the fat to drain off.

We have flocks and flocks of Canada geese fly over the Bay Area. They are pretty to watch, but when they choose a park or lake to roost overnight, they leave shit all over the place. Some places they really like, and they leave it unfit for humans.

Stormee,   if you want a good read about Wildfowling on the Wash,  look for a book called

"Kenzie the Wild Goose Man"  by Collin Willock.
