Why should it not be over Egypt? as it happens, pilot had reported mechanical problems soon after take off. I was wrong in my suspicion .

Because Isis don't have that capability.

Just because you have missiles, doesn't mean you have the means to aim ans fire them.

Now that it's been pretty much confirmed that the crash was the result of ISIS terrorism, Putin has vowed to escalate the military campaign in Syria.

There's a video in this article, allegedly of a cruise missile flying overhead.
