Female British Army recruit dies suddenly during initial training

The incident happened at the Pirbright Army Training Centre near Woking, just four miles from the Deepcut barracks where four soldiers died between 1995 and 2002.

It is thought trainee Megan Park was on a mile long run or march when she collapsed.

Her family said she would be remembered for "her lively sense of humour, her fun sarcasm and quirky personality".

An army spokeswoman said that the young female recruit, who is thought to be in her early 20s, died after "something quite minor".

So sad, I wonder if they'll find out she had some sort of undetected heart condition?

It is sad. Especially when she was young and seemingly fit.

I'm thinking there must have been a complication if she died trying to run/march one mile -- most anyone can do that. She may have been carrying heavy gear, but still ...

Yes it'll no doubt be an underlying medical condition
