Lord Sewel Drug Use Claims Referred To Police
The House of Lords deputy speaker quits his £84,500 a year role, but is facing calls to resign from parliament altogether.
The parliamentary authorities have called in Scotland Yard over allegations the deputy speaker of the Lords engaged in drug use with prostitutes.
Lord Sewel stepped down from his £84,500 a year role, which included overseeing standards in the Upper House, after he was caught on video allegedly using drugs.
The video was published by The Sun On Sunday, with the newspaper claiming the 69-year-old took cocaine with prostitutes at his Pimlico flat.
He is also pictured wearing a pink bra and leather jacket as he smokes a cigarette.

On David Cameron he said: "He's the most facile, superficial Prime Minister there has ever been. He just shoots from the hip."
He was also dismissive of the London Mayor and Tory MP, who he branded "a joke" and a "public school upper class twit".
And he dubbed the SNP MP Alex Salmond a "silly, pompous prat".
In a statement to Sky News, Lord Sewel said: "I confirm that I have been in touch with the Lord Speaker and have informed her of my resignation as Deputy Speaker and Chairman of Committees."
Lord Speaker Baroness D'Souza described Lord Sewel's behaviour as "shocking and unacceptable", adding that the matter would be referred to police.

So who filmed him? Can you imagine the moment when he realised it would be all over the papers?

There is also a picture of Osborne with the dominatrix and lines of coke on the table.
So we have a cokehead running the Lords and another running the country.

You'll let them get away with anything Rags. You think they couldn't test him if they wanted to after seeing that? It stays in your hair for months.

You think they should test him because he looked a bit weird? I think they might need more grounds to do so.

Tell me Rags, if a teacher was filmed in that condition in charge of a class, don't you think there would be a demand for them to be drugs tested?

I wouldn't have thought so. Maybe he was just tired. He wasn't "in charge" of anything was he? He was listening to what someone was saying, and he looked a bit exasperated tbh. There's no context to it.

He was in the House of Commons, where he is paid for being. His pupils are very enlarged and dilated, not a sign of tiredness.

It could be a number of medical reasons:

You can't tell if his pupils are dilated or not. Honestly Sassy, maybe he felt unwell or hot or something. I think you're clutching at straws a bit. I think it's also been slowed down, which makes it look worse than it is.

Re: Lord Sewel Drug Use Claims Referred To Police
It hasn't been slowed down, you can see Camerons hands moving quickly beside him, and you only have to enlarge it a little bit to see quite clearly that his pupils are hugely dilated. Coke has been found in MPs toilets in House of Commons before:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2362866/Corridors-powder-Drug-scandal-Houses-Parliament-traces-cocaine-toilets-Palace-Westminster.html
Anyone doing any other job found to be in that condition would be tested and if found to have taken drugs, sacked immediately. It never ceases to amaze me how people will find excuses for those in power.

Excuses? You have made an accusation based on virtually nothing Sassy. Maybe some people don't jump to conclusions the way you do.
You can't tell if his pupils are dilated. He has dark eyes anyway, and you simply can't see them clearly enough.

I'm a bit surprised tbh. I know she's very biased against Tories, no matter what, but to accuse someone of being on drugs on such little evidence is a bit OTT, even for Sassy.

osbourns peccadilloes where kept really under wraps for a long time
but as i said mandatory tests would remove any legitimate suspicion given his previous conduct

It's been an open secret about Osborne's coke habit for a long time, which is why he has never taken the woman to court who produced evidence of it, and why Skinner called him a cokehead in the House of Commons. And nobody would be making excuses after seeing him on film out of his tiny tree if he was on the other side of the house. The only people showing their bias here is the RW KD, can you imagine if Ed Balls had sat next to Milliband coked up!
When he was seen like it at PMQs it was obvious he was stoned out of his mind.
As I said, can you imagine if a child came home and showed a picture of their teacher in the same state?

Re: Lord Sewel Drug Use Claims Referred To Police
Well I think drugs should be decriminalized and even legalize a few of them. The amount of money to be made in tax, making many of the drugs safer and reduction in criminality. Its a no brainer.
This is the desperation of some of the left to not have the saving grace of admiting defeat in an election. That is what this boils down to.
