Indeed, no American can claim original "Americanness" unless you belong to a group with a name like "Apache" or "Navajo" ... 1 in 5 Americans primarily speaks a language that is not English; just for some perspective, that's only slightly lower than the number of Americans who identify as Republicans (1 in 4).
