So it's a commentary on the glass ceiling and inequality, in this instance showing a women needing to beg for promotion - I see.

There is still a gender pay gap of around 20% I believe - unreal in this day and age.

I once got a job running a bar in a really nice nightclub, there had been 50 odd applicants.
A friend sent me a card that said something like...which girl always landed  the best job?...
A...The best qualified one,
B....The one with the highest 1Q...or...(turn page)
C....the one with the biggest tits.
The answer on the card was C obviously.

In those un pc days that was quite funny I thought.

In fact in the past young lads could be positively abused by older women workers, especially in factories, and it didn't seem to affect their wage in the workplace.

While women laugh at illustrations of their inferior status then it surely has a bearing. Should slaves have laughed along with slave-owners at images of the subjugation of blacks - or should they have got angry?

Correction: The gender pay gap is about 14% and not 20% as I stated - apologies.

Peoples perceptions of what's acceptable and what isn't has changed so much.
Obviously real sexual harassment should always be frowned on, and when I worked it wasn't that unusual for a male boss to try it on with young staff, but instead of complaining and accusing everyone of sexual harassment we tended to deal with it ourselves and most times,( in my own experiences) that was enough to stop it.

Totally agree.   Woman should stop finding it funny and realise that going along with the humour normalises it and demeans their status.   Sometimes women are there own worst enemies.

I second that.

I suppose it does depend on the way you have been treated and the way you have seen others treated in the workplace.
I also think which decade you grew up in defines how you see things to some extent.
I never felt demeaned in any job situation, if I had I would have sorted it then and there....that's my personal experience, obviously others see things differently.

You should heard the things the Irish blokes who worked for my old man used, then there was the Army, twould make you cringe at some of the names which were used.

There is obviously a line to be drawn....obviously no one with a brain would laugh at RL horrors, a daft cartoon or card sent in fun is hardly world shattering.
I might also add it would depend a lot on who sent it and in what circumstances.

Sometimes I utterly despair at women.   Is it any wonder that we still have problems about equal pay and sexual harrassment in the workplace when women can't see that finding things like the OP funny is what allows it to continue?   The attitude, oh I'm broadminded, I'm gonna laugh because I've got to show what a man's girl I am, is what allows it to keep happening.

And the inference that every woman can deal with it and it's not a problem is bloody ridiculous.   Yes, I've dealt with it myself.   I've also seen women, strong, ambitioous, intelligent women, have their lives destroyed by it and they leave their jobs rather than put up with it any more.   And I've seen young girls sobbing in the toilets because of sexual harrassment, and I've dealt with it on their behalf.   And I've seen women who are good looking and gone far dismissed as being in those positions because 'they slept their way to the top'.   Every woman who does not stand up and say that this is not funny, it's unacceptable, is enabling sexual harrassment and enabling other women to be demeaned and they should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
