  WHAT does make that tale seem so much of a stretch ~ and hence more likely to be another April Fools day prank ~ is that the history of the Red Bull company simply doesn't tie in with this new story...

RED BULL was already an established Austrian sports marketing company, when it's founder and CEO found the energy drink already being manufactured in Malaysia, and saw the opportunity of adding a new income stream to his business..

SO the Red Bull name was given to the drink after the event, and didn't in fact come from the drink itself !
