Years ago, the satirical website The Onion did an article stating that some U.S. state had passed a law that required elderly people to attend at least one gay wedding between two males per year, and to "weep profusely" when the men kissed one another. That's sort of what I was going for here -- it ain't gonna happen, but it seems to be something that some people are quite fearful will happen.
