The old guard of the Democrats were supposed to be long gone already.  We had moved on to Obama.  I think what was rejected in this election is the probability of a woman ever getting the presidency.

Trump showed that pussy-grabbing and politics works quite well, even today.  Back in 2008 I said that America doesn't elect a woman or a black.  Then, after Obama was elected, I began to change my mind.  Now I think, to be fair, I was half right.  Americans will never elect a woman for president.

The president is a unique role, not like a PM, who wins and leads among the already elected.  Sure, we can have a female speaker of the House too, and so we have...although not without resentment.  But the role of president is just too--how should I say it?--too masculine for a woman.  Congress may elect a woman, but the people??

You're making your case, but the history is already written.  Presidential elections are about image and casting.
