Paul Daniels, magic man, dies aged 77

Television magician Paul Daniels has died aged 77 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour, his publicist has said.
The entertainer was diagnosed with an incurable brain tumour in February and last week returned from hospital to spend his final days at home.

Daniels is best known for his TV series The Paul Daniels Magic Show, which ran on the BBC from 1979 to 1994. He was born in 1938 in South Bank, Middlesbrough, where he began his career as a magician and entertainer.

Daniels died at his home in Berkshire, where he had returned to see out his final days. Daniels had been diagnosed with the tumour after he was taken to hospital with a suspected stroke and scans revealed he had an inoperable growth in his brain.

He was a brilliant live act, I always thought he seemed a bit smug on TV.....but he was the best at what he did.

RIP Paul Daniels.

Magic isn't my cup of tea, but he was very good at it.  At least he died at home with those he loved RIP.
