A bus driver phoned the police when a mother tried to pay 25p of her fare in pennies.
Laura Pulley, 35, boarded the bus in Canvey, Essex, with her four-year-old daughter Lola.
She tried to pay her 60p fare using about 25p in coppers - but the male driver refused to accept the money, stating he was legally entitled to only accept 20p in pennies.

It's not on

In London boroughs - red buses - you can't pay with cash anymore. It's Oyster cards or credit cards only. Drivers don't carry any cash at all.
