Mother finds out about teen son's porn, calls police

A mother in South Carolina called sheriff's deputies on her son this week after finding porn playing on her living room TV.

According to the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence Tuesday afternoon after a distraught mom called 911.

"She stated that when she entered the residence, her 15-year-old son was in his bedroom," reads the police report. "[Her] daughter turned on the TV and porn was on."

According to the report, the 40-year-old mom "immediately turned off the TV" and ushered her 2-year-old daughter out of the room, before calling the police on her son.

When a sheriff's deputy arrived, the mother, whom HuffPost is not identifying to protect the teen's privacy, said she had several problems with her son's behavior recently.

"[The mom] requested that a report be done to document ... her son's behavior and due to her daughter being exposed to porn," the police report reads.

The police say it's the first time they've gotten a call like this and that there was no charge they could file ...

THAT mad mudder is well overdue for a psychiatric checkup, methinks...
HER 15-year-old son now has to grow up with some serious mother-trust issues..

(AND : Was it on a TV channel, a video, or an internet feed ?

NOTE that Porn channels on TV are "subscription only" - and not part of any normal packaged programming. SO, I'm wondering - who put the porn onto the TV ? Was it the mother, the 15-year-old, the (absent ?) father, a mysterious TV gremlin, or the daughter ? )

AS for the mother's hysterical fears over her 2-year-old daughters psyche ~ I reckon a 2 year old would more likely find it to be more strange and funny than anything else ? Could be different if she were 4 or 5 years or older..

Isn't a parent responsible for a child's transgressions? How ironic if the police arrested the mother for failure to maintain discipline and a home free of erotic stimuli (there's gotta be a law).
