Fury as Speaker John Bercow meets with EU and agrees to prevent a clean break exit

Addressing the EU Parliament, it’s President, David Sassoli, let slip that he is now bypassing the UK Government and talking directly to Bercow about how to delay Brexit. John Bercow is an absolute disgrace as Speaker and has done more to demean and diminish the high office that he holds than any other Speaker in the thousand year history of our parliament.

One of the greatest in modern times was former Labour MP (and Tiller Girl!) Betty Boothroyd but the greatest Speaker of all was William Lenthall who, when Charles 1 entered the House of Commons with armed guards demanding to arrest dissenting MPs, bravely told the King: "Sire, I have neither ears to hear not eyes to see save what this honourable House doth command me..."

Bercow would have rolled over belly up and submitted with a pathetic whimper.

Perhaps, when he has at last left office at the end of this month, an investigation into his blatant political bias, profligacy and outrageous self-service will properly be held.

He could walk in front of a Bus ? hopefully !
