Went with a lorry driver friend to Zurich who drove around Europe with Disney On Parade. You would not believe what they looked like close up.

Talk about "tatty" costumes dirty, ripped and stained.

The germans annexed the border region of Alsace Lorraine from the French and conscripted thousands of the locals to fight against their own fellow (French) citizens during WW1. The stigma remains among the descendants to this day. Apparently one of the most traumatic aspects was being seen in the enemy's uniform.  I read that whilst reading about tourism in the region yesterday (hope I've relayed the info accurately!)

When she appeared on 'Children in need' lots of viewers were convinced her lookalike backing singers must be related to her...they are not.

I do find that certain groups of women look like eachother. Like there's a "look" they all seem to go for.
