emember the "Teddy Boys" ? There was a song about them to tune of the Teddy Bears Picnic.
If you go down to the woods today, you better go in disguise,
with Drainpipe trews and blue sued shoes, and something intense in ties.
don't bother to wash it's sure to rain
just bring your cosh and your bicycle chain.
for today's the day the Teddy Boys have their picnic.

Teddy boys preceded the mods.
I don't know who the Teddies fought with, but I remember seeing on the news gangs of mods and rockers fighting on Brighton beach.

I mixed up teddy boys with mods and rockers
Easily done....it was a long time ago.
Teddy boys had DA hairstyles and winklepickers.....I think they used to jive a lot too.
