Welcome Grumpy Old Git
Your tag reminds me of someone from another forum that likes to refer to himself as a lord ....If you are him then i congratulate you on your new user tag! :D
You probably aren't him though, as he is too far up his own arse to pick such a tag, so i extend my apolgies to you for my mistake!

There isn't much debate going on elsewhere tbf...It gets quiet on here at various times..But no real debate on other sites at all..It's just bitching now on the the Sun site spin offs.

Re: Welcome Grumpy Old Git
Funny you mention that, I recently e-mailed some of the older users who haven't been active -- including some Americans, a German, a Canadian and a guy living in Cambodia -- to come back and get active again. Hopefully a few will and that will liven things up a bit more.
Before the U.K. lot came aboard there wasn't nearly as much activity here as there is now, but a lot of the increased activity is talking about U.K. subjects -- many of which I can't begin to understand, and believe me, I've tried. There was a video you posted that I understood had to do with organized labor (or if you prefer, "organised labour") but it included so many names and events mentioned that I'd never heard of, I'd have to do a lot of research before I could keep up with it.
I do enjoy the debate and I like that we've kept it rather civil recently. I didn't want this to become a site where everybody just constantly agreed with one another, but I didn't want constant flame wars either -- it's a delicate balance

I just think that there are some very good debaters here now..Like Irn, Sassy, Sphinx, Quill ,Didge..etc
The only only thing that can keep a forum vibrant is people that have different opinions, else there would be no debate at all, and there are others that might not be up to speed but spark a debate etc!
