That's Prescott Sheldon Bush, who was born in 1895. Senator from Connecticut, Wall Street executive -- your typical blue-blood Yankee WASP. (And a dead ringer for his son George Herbert Walker Bush.)

That's George Prescott Bush, age 39 and currently serving as Texas Land Commissioner (indeed, he's already gotten himself in trouble with the Daughters of the Republic of Texas for his heavy-handed attempt to seize the contents of their Alamo museum). He's Prescott's great-grandson, a Roman Catholic, and no, not a fan of tanning -- his mother's maiden name is Columba Garnica Gallo and she was born in Leon, Mexico.

The Bush family is an old, venerable, Connecticut political family, that ranks among the Cabots and the Lowells of Boston and the Roosevelts of New York.

There are other families as well, like the Blairs of Missouri (you've heard of Blair House, right across the street from the White House) and the Chases of Ohio. The Babbitts and Ronstads (yes Linda is from an old political family) of Arizona and the Longs of Louisiana. These are dynasties.
