Time zone settings have changed

Forumotion has changed the time zone settings, for those of you who have noticed something off about the time it says you posted.

There's apparently now a site time zone (don't know how we'll decide that, might be best just to set it to GMT) and you can go into your personal settings and set your own time zone.

They are just right on the line between PSR and Mountain Standard Time, so they can go any way.

When I first arrived they did change annually. But they got Congressional exemption a couple of years later.

There are other jurisdictions with exemption in the US:

you look at it as one day where you get to sleep in a extra hour
and another day you get to sleep in 2 extra hours and just mumble something about 'fucking stupid daylight savings' when you get to work geek

I could imagine, if the USA didn't give the likes of American Samoa and Guam that autonomy over choosing to have daylight saving or not, they could find themselves at odds, re: times and dates, with their immediate neighbours [Samoa, NZ] for half the year...

LOOK ON a current map or globe of the world, and you will also see where they kinked the International Date Line a few years back, to put Samoa on the same day as New Zealand, Fiji, Australia, Japan, Vladivostok - a day ahead of the Americas..

(Here in Oz, meanwhile - Qld chose to never have daylight saving, while WA opted out via referendum a couple of elections ago..).

Right because of the whole beard thing and because my memory is crap and because I have had a crappy couple of weeks with a bunch of seriously stupid frogturds, I have completely forgotten what, why, and how the time zone thing works or needs changing.
