So, the season is underway here, one of the reasons I've been so busy lately. One thing I like to do when I go to the games is pay attention to the music they play over the PA and the songs played by the school bands in the stands.

It's weird, a lot of teams still come out to the field with "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses playing, which came out before all of the players were born Smile

But in the season opener last Friday, I heard one of the school bands playing a rendition of ... wait for it ...

Ah, that's only for the collegiate (university) level of athletics. The high schools have their own fight songs and alma mater songs ... really corny old stuff for the most part.

I just like the song. We all bleed maroon is a favourite saying of supporters of Hearts FC who's club colours are maroon. That's how I knew about that song.
