Exquisite, and as you rightly say there are so many greats to choose from.
I have a particular liking for the Requiem Mass, including the modern classics by composers such as Karl Jenkins, and as for the almost orgiastic power of Verdi....
But my favourite non-requiem piece is Senza Mamma, a solo from Puccini's opera Suor Angelica sung by Joan Sutherland.

So many me Lord, is an understatement and I do love opera, there is nothing more moving to me, it can be spell binding.
You have some greats there, and I suppose it really depends on my mood, but how about some Puccini as you brought this to my mind:
