The upcoming David Ayer WWII film starring Brad Pitt in its lead role - Fury - released its first poster and trailer recently.
The poster had Brad Pitt looking forlorn posed on the tank gun with the name Fury painted on the side and the haunting words war never ends quietly .written on the top.
Fury is the work of writer/director David Ayer (Training Day, End of Watch) and follows the story of the five soldiers crewing the Sherman tank dubbed Fury (thus, the name of the movie). The Fury was sent behind enemy lines on a deadly mission which have them outnumbered and outgunned. The movie then revolves on how the men fought on to keep their lives as they battle great odds just to infiltrate the heart of Nazi Germany.
Brad Pitt portrays the role of Sergeant Wardaddy, the tank sergeant of Fury responsible for the other crew members made up of Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peńa, Jon Bernthal (of the Walking Dead TV Series) with Jason Isaacs and Scott Eastwood also in the cast.
Bard Pitt’s unforgettable line in the trailer is: “I promise my crew a long time ago I would keep them alive.”
Brad Pitt is no stranger to WWII movies as he already starred in one —  in Quentin Tarantino’s The Inglorious Basterds. However, Fury is a completely different take and movie compared to the former. Brad Pitt saw little combat in that Tarantino WWII movie. In the Fury, he is stuck knee-deep into it.
By the looks of the trailer, young Hollywood actor Logan Lerman (Percy Jackson of the Percy Jackson movies) plays a big part in Fury portraying the role of a rookie soldier pushed into a team of seasoned war veterans.
The movie is set to be released in the United Kingdom on October 14. Its release in the US is set on a much later date – on November 14 – presumably, to make it more Oscar-friendly.

I love any WW2 film that is based as closely as it can be on what really happened in WW2 .
