Reverse sound?..nowadays so much can be done with groundbreaking technology, and what made me think of it is that there's a farm down the road( well a few), bit this one particular farm has a metal shop..they seem to work out of normal hours, and the noise is coming from that place with all the machinery they have...

One of the noises is that morbid run -for -the -air -raid -shelters type of noise and just wondered...would be cool if they can channel the noise from where they work to about 1 mile away and unload it on someone else!

ffs, I sound like a science geek!...

Not quite JD, BUT it is possible (but far from easy)to take the sound, INVERT IT electronically (180 degrees out of phase) and re send it
it will then cancel out the incoming sound ...resulting in...silence....
this principle is used in those noise cancelling head sets you can buy....

That sounds amazing Victor!!...truly brilliant, yet at the same time it sounds logical ...
Hey Vic my wee lad had those things for on the flight on holiday...that's the same technology?
