Ray Manzarek of The Doors dies

... he was 74, which strikes me as a rather good long life for a Sixties-era rocker.
These days I don't appreciate The Doors as much as I did when I was younger, but one thing that always held up was the genius of Manzarek's keyboarding. I've always felt he didn't get nearly enough credit for The Doors' success. Just watch him handle the organ rhythm part at the beginning of the video, and then take over the bass line with his left hand ...
