Terrorist attack in Vienna.

At 2nd civilian has now died.

"Several gunmen with rifles have opened fire in six different locations in central Vienna, killing at least one person, police say.
Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz called it a "repulsive terror attack" and said one gunman was also killed.
At least one attacker was still at large, the interior minister said.
The city's mayor said 15 people had been wounded, seven of them seriously. Among the injured is a police officer, the interior ministry said.
The shootings took place near the central synagogue but it is not yet clear if that was the target.
The attack happened just hours before Austria imposed new national restrictions to try to stem rising cases of coronavirus. Many people were out enjoying bars and restaurants which must close until the end of November.
European leaders strongly condemned the shooting. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was "deeply shocked by the terrible attacks".

I'm not an alarmist by any means, but I think we are seeing an uptick in violence in the West.

I know we are seeing it in my neck of the woods as random violence and killing is becoming more common.

Not to make light of this situation, but its fortunate these kooks weren't very proficient. Several gunmen with rifles can kill a lot of people if they know what they are doing.

"Five people died and 17 people have been injured after a terror attack in the Austrian capital.
Gunfire broke out on Monday evening outside Vienna’s main synagogue near the Danube river, where witnesses described seeing men with guns shooting at crowds in bars and restaurants who were enjoying one last evening out before a coronavirus lockdown.

Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said two men and two woman had died from their injuries and Austrian media reported 17 were injured.

One assailant, who was a 20-year-old dual citizen of Austria and North Macedonia who had a previous terrorism conviction, was also killed.

He has been named as Kujtim Fejzulai and was sentenced to 22 months in prison in April 2019 because he had tried to travel to Syria to join the so-called Islamic State group. He was granted early release in December under juvenile law.

A manhunt is underway by officers as at least one “heavily armed and dangerous” person is believed to still be at large.

Seven victims of the attack in Vienna are in a critical, life-threatening condition, Austrian news agency APA reported, citing a Health Association spokeswoman. The others are being treated for gunshot wounds and cuts."

Why are the BBC reporting that "authorities now believe the gunman may have acted alone"...!?

There were plenty of eye witness accounts last night saying they saw multiple attackers with weapons...!!!

I noticed that.
The BBC and other news outlets are so anxious to be first with 'breaking news', they have changed the story several times since this attack began.
So far seven, then one, then two, then five, then four people died....not sure what the latest number is. Rolling Eyes
