TRUMP: Health Care workers are stealing for side business

During a press conference on Sunday, Donald Trump took aim at the medical workers who are risking their lives to take care of those infected with the novel coronavirus. In true-to-form conspiracy-theorist fashion, the impeached president claimed that “something’s going on” with the masks being sent to New York, now considered the epicenter of the country’s COVID-19 pandemic.

“How do you go from using 10,000 to 20,000 [masks] to 300,000?” Trump asked during a press briefing. “Even though this is different—something’s going on. Where are the masks going? Are they going out the back door?”

Trump’s comments come amid long-running reports that medical workers all over the country are being forced to wear masks intended for single use, throughout the duration of their shifts. States like Washington, California, New York and New Jersey are particularly concerned by the shortage that further increases the risk to health care workers. As they continue an ongoing fight against the deadly illness, those on the frontlines are falling ill at rapid rates.

In typical language for him, Trump meets difficult situations by seeking putative villains to blame. This time he turns on the very people who are on the front line. This is like blaming soldiers for a shortage of aircraft or ships ... when the real reason is that he was unprepared, and discounted those who told him he needed to get prepared.

Trump arrogantly cut spending on health care matters when he first took office. To add insult to injury, he installed a playboy as Secretary of Health, who promptly spent departmental funds on vacations and junkets for family and friends. Trump recklessly cut spending on research and development, saying it was too expensive and unnecessary. He undercut support for the CDC. Finally, as if making a judgment on his predecessor, Trump disbanded the NSA's Pandemic Response Team, set up by Barack Obama, and threw out findings on what to do if there is a pandemic...the very thing he has on his plate right now.

Now, Trump is looking around for scapegoats. It was wasteful and unnecessary, he said at the time. Now he has had to sign legislation for $2.2-trillion, and that's just the beginning. After three months of colossal blunders, he resorts to his tried and true pattern: Someone besides myself is responsible!

Don't they know that it's the 'God given right' of their corporatist and carpetbagging 'Libertarian' and "free market" bosses and politicians to do that thieving and looting..

How dare those 'orrible little socialists and commies be even hinted at rising above their station in life.   Especially when dear ol' Donnie wanted in on those profits himself..
