It's violent in most major cities. I was born in London, and have many memories of it. I went back in 2012 and hated it. My brother moved away from there due to the violence.

You can't generalize from specifics. A 'high level of violent crime' begs a comparison by numbers. BTW, what are you comparing it to? Other cities. Raw or proportional?

Didge... obviously we need to ban law abiding citizens here in UK from having guns to stop criminals getting illegal guns and shooting people...

Oh... law abiding citizens are already banned from having guns... and that hasn't stopped criminals getting illegal guns and shooting people...!!!

Quill... in the thread where I posted about high violent crime in London, it was being discussed in comparison with rates for other places around the world, and rates 'per 100,000'...

The op of this thread saying 'Londons crime epidemic' should give you a clue...

Except that law-abiding citizens rarely shoot criminals, they usually end up shooting one another or killing themselves.

Seriously, look at U.S. gun stats. And think about whether you want to live in a country where a father kills his daughter because she sneaked out with her boyfriend and he thought she was a prowler.

Didge... we used to crack down on them... but that had to stop because lefty pc dipshits decided that although the vast majority of them are black, it would be racist for police to target them for their crimes...

Ben... we already do 'live in a country where a father kills his daughter because she sneaked out with her boyfriend'... but this normally happens because he is a muslem and he thought she was bringing dishonour onto their family...!
