I went to Texas once for work. I went to Houston for one night and then came back again. It rained when I was there, and I never saw anything except one room and a shopping mall for about half an hour. Laughing

Junior junior is thinking about studying abroad next year for a semester at the University of Essex so I’ll go visit him and Eds at the same time.

Heck I’ve driven straight through to Houston twice. It took 15 hours with stops. That’s less than a day. Fort Stockton is a big fat nothing. I-10 is a dead deer fest.

I've done trips like that, but I don't call them day trips. Day trips are jump in the in car, go somewhere and fiddle fart around for about 5 hours and then drive back.
