The Weird Science of Homophobes Who Turn Out to Be Gay

There is some research suggesting a link between being closeted and being anti-gay. But while the notion feeds many jokes, it also obscures very real homophobia.

I know right? It’s like they’ve appointed themselves society’s moral guardians like Mary Whithouse and that woman Victoria whatshername who ran around the country with a van full of children. What exactly in their brains gives them a reason to think that anybody gives a monkeys about their opinions? It’s either a vastly overinflated ego or severe lack of self-esteem.
