Sodium hydroxide can dissolve bodies too. You wouldn't want it splashed in your face or eyes. And there are drain cleaners that have sulphuric acid in them.

name one...as far as I know there are not since there is a risk that they would dissolve the cement jointing in the sewerage pipes.

also the reason sodium hydroxide is used is that it specifically dissolves fat (turns it into soap)

I wonder what your local water authority would have to say about THAT That stuff will wreck the cement jointing and "barelling" in your man hole and along the pipe....and if your foul water drains are plastic it will eat them too

jeepers....

Yet another problem with buying strange/unknown products from somr internet sources...

One substance might be sourced from another country (in this case, a hazardous "drain cleaner" that contains 91% battery acid  !), and then onsold into a market where it often likely hasn't actually been approved for its nominated purpose..

I wonder if the relevent authorities (like said Water Boards..) are even aware of the problem  ?
