Huge row has erupted. I suspect tbey are jealous because the BBC have been bought off by the conservative party to the extend their bias is embarrassing.
Regardless, most political leaders will be well aware how damaging it can be to incur the wrath of Murdoch and News International. Big mistake by May.

When the Murdoch press (and now TV and Internet..) turns on a sitting government, that's a sign that they believe that the relevent country might be due for a change of government..
