They certainly are, he has the human touch...as does his wife...I don't think that can be manufactured for the cameras.

Princess Diana had it, prince's William and Harry definitely have it.

Not that many politicians seem to have it sadly.

Barack Obama was probably the best president that the US has ever seen.

The Republicans (Bush and Cheney) had left the country in an ugly, purposeless war, on the brink of the next depression, with double-digit unemployment, a $17-trillion deficit and bin Laden still alive and running around.  Total failure.

Obama got the country out of Iraq, saved America from the next Depression, brought unemployment down from 10.5% to 4.2%, oversaw the creation of 5-million jobs, rebuilt the American automobile industry, oversaw the American stock market soar to over $22,000 average in the Dow Jones (highest ever), finally created a highly successful medical care system (despite the sour grapes of Republicans) and he got bin Laden when the Republican administration was completely inept at finding him.  Today, he keeps us out of more needless wars.  All of this in the face of the McConnell-Boehner doctrine, which says make America fail when the the black man is in power.

That's a hell of a record.  The only reason Republicans don't like him is because of his race.  That's their problem.

When he came to power the US had double digit unemployment and a share market in decline. Both where turned around with his intervention.

PLUS taking the first steps towards a Civilized healthcare system, which doesn't leave it's citizen to die.
For that alone I think he is one of the best in last 100 years easily.

Real world fact :  20 million more Americans could afford health cover, compared to 8 years ago --  and despite GOP stonewalling and interventions..

Repub' lie :  the stockmarket is down..
Fact :  the market is up more than 50%..

Repub' lie :  Unemployment is at "record" levels;
Fact :  unemployment is a third lower than under GWB..

Repub' lie :  more people are living in poverty;
Fact :  poverty levels were higher (by millions of people, higher..) 8 years ago..


There is one basic truth tucked away among the wider tea-bagger propaganda,  though ==
Average workers' take-home pay packets have remained pretty low (ever since the 'GFC' , as a matter of fact..).          

This has been a largely worldwide problem though,  and not just the USA --  as businesses keep downward pressures on wage levels, exporting jobs to cheaper countries, and playing off workers against one another --  while price and cost inflation (especially housing, energy and food costs..) staying ahead of wage rises keeps on pushing relative wage levels lower, year by year.

Which in turn, has made the world's workers in general that little bit poorer each year --  as the bosses and corporations get richer-and-richer off their workers' backs and sweat..

And it it will only get worse, under Trump's economic policy foolishness.
