Of course all of those companies are broke now, overtaken by those that have adapted.

Brexit is Britian saying we don't want to adapt please just go on past us. which we will until the gap is far enough and then someone will come and take over cause you lost the right to anything and everything by saying you wont adapt to the future. That is just the laws of nature and evolution. If the UK leaves everyone outside of the UK seem to realise that it is just a matter of time then.

Good for Our Banks really just anything but British banks is going up, simply there is a lot of money leaving the British banks Bloody quickly which is going to be a bonus for banks in a stable economy.

Reduction in resource sector stocks, if this causes another GFC no one is going to be buying bulk marterials

Many major news outlets are now calling it for Brexit, including the New York Times.

Pundits are predicting a 52 per cent to 48 per cent win for Leave, which translates into a million votes.

With 319 out of 382 results in, here’s where we stand:

Remain: 12,991,972 (48.4 per cent)

Leave: 13,842,109 (51.6 per cent)

In a volatile start to trading that is expected to continue for most of the day, MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan slipped 1.3%, while Australia fell 2% and South Korea 1.2%.

World reeling as Leave appears imminent

The outlook in Britain is a shocking turnaround from earlier today, and it’s throwing the world into chaos.

My weath just went up by over 30% in comparison to British People(that have their money in Pounds)

WE MAY WELL see international stockmarkets sliding over the next 2 or 3 trading days, with sell off of British-based companies, exacerbated by the usual "Chicken Little" panic merchants who think their sky is falling...

HOWEVER, early--mid next week, don't be surprised to see Oz, Japanese, Chinese and American stock markets moving back up again -- on the back of share funds re-balancing their share portfolios, and book-building of "safer" stocks..

These kinds of panic-selling-led sharemarket tumbles always offer opportunities for those investors fortunate enough to have some loose cash hanging around, looking for a home.  
A well worn old sharetrading addage :          "For every seller there has to be a buyer"
Otherwise, those shares don't get sold..

AS MONEY FLOODS OUT OF ENGLAND, the markets that will profit from that are those where the currencies are "safer" from a bankers point-of-view : the likes of --

USA,
Germany,

New Zealand.

All of whom, should be seeing their currencies rising against the pound..    


DOWN HERE, our floating $Aussie$ is valued against a 'basket' of the most commonly traded currencies..

The higher the $ the more money Aussies have to spend either on imports or when travelling overseas;  but conversely Aussie exports would cost more to foreign buyers (who could happily look elsewhere..) or much more likely, the Aussie exporters who sell at international market prices will be getting less when expressed in Aussie $'s.          

FOR THAT reason, many Oz mining and farming groups, and our Conservative political parties, more often would prefer that our $$s were down around the 60 cents US level (or even in the 50s..), even if that does make life harder for average people..
(Just persoanally, I would be happy to see the $$Aus$$ floating around the mid 80's to low 90's, for a more balanced economy..).


WITH money currently flooding out of the UK, we could very well see the Aussie back up over 80 cents next week.  Good for the average person in the street, but giving the farmers and miners something extra to whinge about..
