Brit, 20, 'tried to grab police officer's gun to kill Donald Trump'

A British man tried to grab a police officer's gun in an apparent attempt to kill Donald Trump at a political rally in Las Vegas, according to police.

Michael Steven Sandford is said to have approached a Las Vegas police officer to try and grab the gun at the rally at the Treasure Island casino in the city.

A day earlier, he went to the Battlefield Vegas shooting range and fired 20 rounds from a 9mm Glock pistol to learn how to use it, according to police.

Detectives visited the range and spoke with an employee who confirmed that he taught Sandford how to shoot a court hearing was told.

Sandford, 20, was charged yesterday with an act of violence on restricted grounds. He was denied bail at a court hearing later in the day.

Sanford has not entered a plea.

According to a witness, Sandford was acting "strange" while waiting in the queue to enter the event.

Witness Gregg Donovan said he passed through metal detectors manned by Secret Service, police and casino security officials shortly after Sandford.

Federal Magistrate Judge George Foley said in court yesterday that Sandford was a potential danger to the community and a flight risk. Sandford wore leg irons and appeared to tremble during the hearing.

Sandford was said to be living out of his car and in the country illegally after overstaying a visa.

Heather Fraley, defending, said Sandford hadn't been diagnosed with a mental illness but that he has autism and has previously attempted suicide. He is unemployed.

Sandford is said to have told police officers he was convinced he would die in the assassination attempt.

He said he also reserved a ticket for a Trump rally in Phoenix on Saturday, as a backup plan.

No official response was immediately available from Donald Trump's campaign.

A spokesman for Britain's Foreign Office said: 'We are providing assistance following an arrest of a British national in Las Vegas.'

Oh, shudder the thought and burn that image out of my head --- the Mrs. has so much caked on Make Up if they both don't spend time 'un-masking' at night prior to crawling into that 'whatever' ...both of their pillow cases would just need to be THROWN OUT and start anew!

Must take forever to get to bed and half a packet of make-up wipes or else they're peeling themsleves off the sheets.

Regarding the would be assassin - - what a complete dumbass. Trump is not a threat to become president but has done the US a big favor, in laying bare what his fans are really all about.
