Texas woman burns daughter by putting her in oven

A Texas woman was arrested for putting her 2-year-old daughter into the oven, causing the toddler to suffer serious burns.

Authorities were called to the Glen Rose, Texas, residence of Tasha Hatcher, 35, on the night of March 17 due to reports of a toddler being burned, according to WFAA. When they arrived, witnesses at the scene told them they saw the woman put her child into the oven.

The girl, who suffered second and third degree burns, was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth before being airlifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

A neighbor who lives next door to Hatcher told WFAA that the woman was behaving strangely on the day of the incident.

The neighbor said he was mowing his lawn that day when he noticed loud music and Hatcher making strange gestures and signs.
