The incarceration terms are derisory IMHO, WHY.

I would have given them painful torture first.

It doesn't say why it's taken so long does it?.
Maybe the kids didn't speak out till years later.

What absolutely sickens me with all these historic cases of continued abuse against vulnerable kids is the fact that many people who were not involved knew about it.....yet did nothing.

In some vases plod knew, mps knew, most of the world knows about the vatican and churchmen.
I would speak up whatever, you cannot imagine my hatred for the scum.

One of the most shocking things re historic sexual abuse was concerning Saville. We all know the BBC organisation, many employees, police and politicians covered for him, but so did so many NHS staff and people who worked in care homes.
It was reported widely that nurses who worked in the various hospitals and hospices he went to knew what he was like. Some even told the patients to 'pretend they were asleep' because they knew he would pick certain ones, boys, girls, even terminally ill adults, and take them off to places where he had privacy.

All this was known....yet so few spoke out.
